I like the flow of loom to roam. I am trying to decide if the word “busy” works for me. Runners and cyclists would certainly be busy with that hill yet somehow I am wondering what else might be tried: perhaps “Athletes rise to roam”??
I love that you always call me out when you notice that a piece doesn’t “feel” quite right, Meghan. What do you think about the piece if I change busy to breathless? It gives several meanings… I do like how your suggestion of “athletes rise” works with the image of hill 🙂
I like breathless because it lends itself to giving the poem a few meanings. Nice suggestions! Glad you don’t mind me calling you out, as you put it 🙂 To be fair you should have the same opportunity!
