Raindrops fall gently
nourishing thirsty earth
life giving water
Swollen rivers flow
swiftly through the neighborhood
alarming the people
This precious liquid,
necessary renewal,
no longer admired
Destruction disguised
a benign interloper
warily watched
Nature’s fury shows
humans cannot outwit drops
steadily falling
Life giving water
becomes the reapers hand
exacting its due
Circle of life come
full as we watch lustrous pearls
of rain gently fall
Great post!
Thank-you!
I agree with directorb – great post! Lovely poem with nice symmetry!
Thanks, Meghan. I really appreciate the time you take to use your critical editing skills with my posts!
Just let me know when you’ve had enough of my critiques!! Remember, I am only making suggestions; you are the writer! Apparently I like the editing role! I need to write something and post it on your blog soon so you can give me a critique for a change 🙂
