May 1, 2019 by mincs1 This Is My City #15 Chief Sitting Eagle (1874-1970) also known as John Hunter is commemorated with an 11 foot statue in downtown Calgary. He was a chief of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. He was also heavily involved with the Calgary Stampede.
