whizz by unsuspecting bystanders
from every direction
some barely noticed
others strike an emotion
grab attention
emotional triage swiftly responds
prioritizing these cultural missiles
headlines
manipulate reality

when did we become the dart board
with a bull’s eye on our backs

Some days I find the news can be a little overwhelming!
As I sit here in the Middle East with CNN on my TV and the new strikes on ISIS in Syria being reported, this poem is very timely!
Definitely in your part of the world people are literally feeling like they may have a target on their backs.
