Mother Earth watches
waits
silently
patiently
waits
As her resources are pilfered
exploited
by petulant children
who think they are the highest form
evolution’s best
She shudders
as she lumbers along
waits
her energy gathering
until the time
when the children
must be taken to task
for their actions

A strong message here and one worthy of writing into a poem! Reading about ourselves as children who will have to be taken to task gave me a chill – just as it should!
When will we learn?! I hope respect for nature and her resources will soon be in vogue 🙂
Little by little we are, I think, I “dare to believe” but not fast enough, I fear. At least not fast enough for our sakes but Mother Earth will find her own way, with God’s blessing.
