Like the addition of the photo, especially since looking out my window all I see is white.
One push and it’s gone????? I’d say that wasn’t a true friendship in the first place.
Your poem stirred up many emotions for me…exactly what a poem ought to do. It also reminded me of a poem I loved as a teenager:
“There is strength in gentleness and there is gentleness in strength but this I did not always know until one day I saw a single strand of spider web hold fast against the fury of the storm…” Winston. O Abbott (1968, 1973)

I agree, Karen. The relationship I am thinking of was volatile and short-lived; perhaps just a “wanna be” friendship 🙂
How can one even use the word “volatile” when describing a “friend”??
One push and it’s gone?? I agree Karen! Definitely not the sign of a true friend.
Hi Mary,
I’m enjoying your lovely poetry, good for you for keeping on your creative path!
I’ve been creative myself and that’s so wonderful; a great space to be in.
Did I tell you how sweet that picture of you and Dilon was? Very nice indeed.
Looking forward to seeing you at Tanya’s place on May 15th,
Best, Linda
I look forward to seeing you soon!

Thank you for sharing the poem. I love it, too!
Thought you might, Mary! 🙂
