About

This is the result of a personal challenge to be creative daily for the next year; uncensored; unedited; from the heart. (I DID IT! April/2015 marked one year of posting daily πŸ™‚ I now continue on this journey excited to see where it will lead; and happy to continue the WordPress friendships I have formed on the way!)

WELCOME!!

Thank-you for stopping by my site πŸ™‚

WHO I AM
You are now entering the domain of a middle-aged scribbler mom. I am an ink slinging, aspiring poet searching for a deeper sense of self.

WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT
This blog began as a sassy, “I’ll show you” response to a friend who challenged me to write daily. I am grateful because it has become so much more.
It has become a place of connection with other bloggers (Hortus Closus, A Writer’s Path, The Haunted Lullaby, Healing Pilgrim), a place of inspiration, and a place to creatively try new ideas.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
Several years ago I left the safety and security of running on paved city pathways to explore going off the beaten path with trail running. Today writing takes me well away from the safety and security of what I know and do (think: Type A dental hygienist!) I never know where inspiration will lead.

WHAT ABOUT YOU
I hope you will be engaged and stimulated through my writing. I hope you will be inspired to have a conversation with myself and others through leaving a comment and your opinion. And I hope you will be inspired to follow!

“I may not have reached where I intended to go…But I think I ended up where I needed to be.” – Douglas Adams

I love that Baba with the babushka. I wish I had thought up that rhyme. But then, no Jews were allowed in my family…the bigots that they were. See why I left as soon as I could?

  20. No longer a “trail runner” I wrote that into my main character from my first two novels. He is a flawed hero but finds weaving through the forest and fields mind clearing and healing. It also gives me license to fill back story and set mood and sense of place.
